2015 Awards Ceremony
Sponsored by Deloitte and hosted by FT Columnist Lucy Kellaway, Chartered Accountants’ Hall welcomed over 160 guests to the Finance for the Future awards on Thursday 8 October 2015.
The invitation-only evening began with an interactive reception, sponsored by Willmott Dixon, giving guests the opportunity to engage with this year’s finalists and past winners to hear about their entries along with the benefits their projects have delivered. Leaders from the Finance for the Future community also shared their learnings and best practice about practical ways for finance teams to integrate sustainability into decision making processes.
The interactive reception featured three different hubs:
- Learning hub where guests found out what they could do to integrate sustainability into their business decision making process including integrated thinking, natural capital accounting, capital investment appraisal and market investor engagement
- Creating hub where guests helped us to design the role of the finance leader of the future and share their ideas on the scope of his responsibilities and role, the skill sets required, the values they should stand for. Find out what the future CFO should look like!
- Sharing hub where guests met with the finalists and past winners and learn more about their initiatives
To open the awards, the eager audience was addressed by Liz Rylatt, ICAEW Executive Director, Jessica Fries, A4S Executive Chairman, Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank and HRH The Prince of Wales, via video message. David Gerrard, Finance Director of Veolia, addressed the audience as this year’s keynote speaker.
