Finance for the future awards 2017 finalists announced  

The shortlist for this year’s Finance for the Future Awards is unveiled today by the founding organisations, ICAEW and A4S, and their partner Deloitte. The awards highlight good business practice, by recognising the role of finance in helping to embed sustaianbility into organisations' decision making. Now in it sixth year, the ceremony will take place on 12 October.

The awards recognise finance functions that demonstrate sustainable business practices throughout their operations. Now in its fifth year, the winners will be announced in London at an awards ceremony on 13 October 2016.for the Finance for the Future Awards, now in its 5th year running, are open.

Deloitte has joined the founding organisations, ICAEW and A4S, as a partner to work with them in taking the programme forward. The awards recognise the role played by the finance profession in driving sustainable business models and economies.

Shortlist announced for Finance for the Future Awards 2015

The shortlist for the 2015 Finance for the Future Awards has been announced. The awards, founded and organised by ICAEW and The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S), celebrate companies that put sustainability at the heart of their financial operations. The shortlisted finalists, who have already been through a rigorous assessment process, will be judged on 4 September and the winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on 8 October at Chartered Accountants Hall.

Three Scottish businesses shortlisted for Finance for the Future Awards

Three Scottish based companies have been short-listed as finalists in the 2015 Finance for the Future Awards, following the inaugural Scottish heat of the event, which took place in Edinburgh this week. Edinburgh-based The Gupta Partnership went through in the Innovative New Idea Category; Auchterarder-based building and civil engineering contractors, Castle Group Scotland in the SME category; and The Green Investment Bank, who are head-quartered in Edinburgh, in the Driving Change in Others category.

Top finance teams that have led the way in driving sustainability in their organisations were recognised last night at the Finance for the Future Awards. Now in their third year, the awards, hosted by ICAEW and HRH The Prince of Wales’ Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S), recognise leadership in financial innovation which places sustainability at the heart of a business’s operations.

Financial leadership in sustainability recognised at Finance for the Future Awards

The creative force of the finance teams have been celebrated as the lead drivers of sustainability. Winners included a social enterprise which rescued three charities, a business developing one of the largest white goods recycling plants and another implementing research from Cambridge University to create a business project recycling laminate packaging. All these projects would not have been possible without the leadership and commitment of the finance teams and that is why they were winners of a Finance for the Future Award.
